2022 Parish Council Elections

To note that Kirkbymoorside Town Council is not contested and candidates on the Statement of Persons Nominated are elected unopposed
To note that candidates will take office on Monday 9 May 2022
To note the Council may co-opt any person to fill the remaining two vacancies in accordance with Section 21(2)(a) of the Representation of the People Act 1985

To report accounts paid since the last meeting of the Council and to approve payments according to the list provided
To receive the Financial Summary to 31 March 2022
To note the review of the hourly cleaning charge for the library will increase the Council's 50% contribution to the annual costs to £1375

To receive Schedules 1 and 2 of the Section 106 Agreement relating to Land at Westfields, Kirkbymoorside, dated 30 August 2013, pursuant to minute 21184 dated 21 March 2022
To note the covenants by the County Council:
Education Contribution - £560,000 for expansion and improvement of the primary school
Highway Contribution - £75,000 for enhancement of existing No. 174 and 176 bus services
Travel Plan Contribution - £40,000 for travel plan co-ordinator
Cycle Contribution - £10,000 for the provision of cycle stands in Kirkbymoorside Town Centre
To note receipt of £1,250 being final payment in respect of Section 106 Grant Reference S106-055 associated with additional features at the Half Basketball Court
To note the final payment of £1,143 in respect of Section 106 Grant Reference S106-070 associated with the installation of tree planters on Market Place will be paid upon completion of the works
To note that there are no remaining Section 106 monies for allocation to Kirkbymoorside
Jubilee Celebrations
To receive information on progress of arrangements for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Celebrations
To receive an update on progress of the joint project by Kirkbymoorside History Group and Sylatech to produce a bespoke Kirkbymoorside Commemorative medal
To consider the cost of £650 to contribute to the cost of manufacture of the commemorative medal
Play Areas
To note the cost of the annual play area inspections, due in June, will remain at £250 + VAT
To note repairs to the basketball post at Old Road play area have been carried out at a cost of £480 + VAT, authorised by the Town Clerk in accordance with Financial Standing Orders
To note the two seats 'In Memory of Charlie Cornick' have been installed at the skate park
To receive an update on progress of Flood Risk Management
To note concern regarding recent collisions at the Village Street and Grey Lane junction in Keldholme and consider appropriate action
To consider the 2022/23 Levy calculations for the sports field
To note necessary works required to dismantle and remove 1no. ash tree in Manor Vale woodland on the boundary with the neighbouring property on Castlegate, at a cost of £540 + VAT and consider the contribution of £270 towards the cost of the works from the property owner
