Issued on 10 January 2024 for a meeting of the Town Council to be held at 7.30pm on 15 January 2024 in Church House, Kirkbymoorside.

Members of the Council are required to attend. Members of the press and public are also welcome to attend.

1. To receive and approve the draft minutes of the Ordinary Meeting held on 18 December 2023
2. To consider matters arising
Public Session - to allow members of the public to make representations, ask questions and give evidence in respect of any items of business
Discussions with Councillors in respect of questions already posed, and any new matters
To consider financial matters
1. To report accounts paid since the last meeting of the Council and to approve cheque payments according to the list provided
2. To receive the Financial Summary to 31 December 2023
3. To note the increase to the monthly Yorkshire Post subscription, to £40.91 from £38.13 (from £26.69 in 2019) plus delivery and consider financial viability of continued provision of the Yorkshire Post to the library
To consider the cost of £720.00 + VAT for 12 month CCTV contract at Old Road play area from 8 February 2024 and agree the Terms & Conditions of Sale
Wildflower Friendly Verges
1. To receive the Local Road Verge Restoration Guidance issued by North Yorkshire Council in-line with the current Plantlife campaign
2. To note designation of the area between New Road and the A170, outside the sports field, to trial the promotion of wildflowers (Minute 23070 dated 17 July 2023) and consider designation of additional areas
3. To consider revisions to the grass cutting schedule for the designated areas
4. To consider inviting local groups to participate in the project
To receive an update on progress of arrangements for the Community Celebration Event on 12 October and consider next steps
To review arrangements and design of the town Christmas lighting scheme
To note safety concerns for motorists and pedestrians on the A170 associated with the highways works in proximity to the Manor Woods development and consider any appropriate action
To note the existing 20mph signage in the town centre and consider requesting installation by NYC Highways of additional roundels
To note the state of the weir and build up of silt and debris at the sluice gate, and consider any appropriate action
To receive information regarding the 80th Anniversary of D Day on 6 June 2024 and consider any appropriate action
To receive correspondence from the Ripon Motor Sport Club Ltd and note the Riponian Stages Rally on 11 February 2024
To receive reports from Members representing the Town Council at meetings of outside bodies and on delegated matters
