Members of the Council are required to attend in person. Members of the press and public are also welcome to attend.

  1. To elect the Town Mayor for the coming year
  2. To record the Declaration of Office of the Town Mayor
  3. To receive Councillor Coughlan's report of the year 2024/25
  4. To give a vote of thanks to Councillor Coughlan for their work during the year 2024/25
  5. To elect the Deputy Town Mayor for the coming year
  6. Apologies for Absence
    1. To receive apologies for absence given in advance of the meeting
    2. To consider the approval of reasons given for absence
  7. To receive Declarations of Interest in items on the agenda
  8. Minutes and Matters Arising
    1. To approve the draft minutes of the Ordinary meeting held on 15 April 2025
    2. To receive the minutes of the Events Committee meetings on 7 April and 9 May 2025
    3. To consider matters arising
  9. Public Session - to allow members of the public to make representations, ask questions and give evidence in respect of any items of business
  10. Discussions with Town Councillors and the North Yorkshire Councillor in respect of questions already posed, and any new matters
  11. Financial matters
    1. To report accounts paid since the last meeting of the Council and to approve cheque payments according to the list provided
    2. To receive the Financial Summary to 30 April 2025
    3. To consider the honorarium of £250 for the winding of All Saints' Church Clock
  12. To confirm the amount of the Town Mayor’s Annual Allowance and how this is to be paid
  13. To appoint two councillors to attend the YLCA Ryedale Branch meeting on 10 June 2025 to represent the council as voting representatives
  14. To review the committee membership and appointment of delegated representatives
  15. Review of Town Council Policies
    1. To appoint Councillors to undertake the review and report any recommendations for consideration by full Council
    2. To agree the date of the review
  16. Wildflower Verges
    1. To note that parts of the verges designated as wild flower areas, (as part of the NYMNP Grubs Up campaign) have been cut, contrary to the agreed schedule
    2. To consider appropriate steps to ensure these areas are not cut again until the late summer
    3. To consider the frequency of mowing visibility splays in the wild flower areas
    4. To note temporary suspension of the grass cutting of the A170 verges in support of 'No Mow May' 
  17. To note replacement of the irreparable lantern on lighting column LP4 on Ryedale View with LED at a cost of £400 + VAT, authorised by the Town Clerk in accordance with Financial Standing Orders
